I thought a little change from pearls would be in order today so instead went for something pale pink and summery. You would think in the depths of winter that rich deep colours would be order of the day but no, the palest softest pink seemed to be the thing to catch my eye. I am really pleased how these earrings have turned out. I do love jewellery, perhaps that is self evident, but sometimes when I am wearing jewellery, I don’t want it to take centre stage. Being fickle however, I still want it to be that little bit different. These geometric earrings hit the spot with that.
The gemstones are a really pretty pale pink rose quartz which has been cut as a disc then given a matt finish. I’ve paired these with a pretty warm pink strawberry quartz round bead. To give you an idea of size, the strawberry quartz bead is 4mm round. The earwires are hand formed sterling silver and I forged the ends so that the beads stay where they are. Putting the earrings in is a bit different from the normal, you have to put them in backwards. Feeding the earwire from the back of your ear to the front can feel a bit odd at first but is easy enough to get the hang of, then they sit really nicely with the beads to the front.
These geometric earrings are on my Etsy site at the moment and I already have designs on another gemstone combination, so I’ll get those posted up soon too!
